Normalization is the process of converting values measured on different scales into a common scale. It is primarily used to assess the performance of all applicants using similar exam settings. Normalization is a method that has been used for years to compare the scores of candidates over multiple papers, and it is similar to methods used in India's other big educational selection tests. In order to ensure that candidates are neither disadvantaged nor benefited by the exam difficulty level, a "CUET Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score" will be used. Percentile scores are calculated as follows:
100 X Number of candidates in the 'Session' with a raw score equal to or lower than the candidate

Cut-offs are the minimum qualifying marks you need to attain to be able to move further in the recruitment process. CUET Cut off varies every year and here are the important factors that have a large role to play in determining the cutoffs.
1: Official cutoffs are determined by the number of vacant seats available for the particular recruitment.
2: Total number of candidates who applied for the exam are also considered while setting the cutoffs.
3: The difficulty level of the CBT is also taken into account for the consideration of the final cut off figures.
4: Previous Year cut off trends are a significant factor that determines the cut off marks.
