IBPS PO Vacancies have been increased! The board has increased the vacancies from 6432 to 6932. IBPS PO New Notification was out on 1st August 2022. IBPS PO Exam 2022 will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in different public sector banks in India. IBPS PO exam is conducted every year as a three-staged process- Online Preliminary, Online Main Examination, and Interview. Bank PO is the desired position for lakhs of candidates. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for IBPS PO Examination and to crack this exam candidates should know the exam pattern, eligibility criteria, IBPS PO Previous Year Papers, and other information regarding IBPS PO Exam 2022.

  • There are three stages to clear the IBPS PO Exam 2022 i.e. prelims, mains, and interview.

The eligible candidates can proceed to IBPS PO apply online for the IBPS PO exam from the direct link given below. You can follow the below-given step-by-step instructions to fill out the IBPS PO Application Form.

Step 1: Go to the official website to apply for the IBPS PO post 

Step 2: On the home page, find the Advertisement for “IBPS PO Recruitment 2022”.

Step 3: Click on “Click Here for New Registration”

Step 4: Enter the Email ID and Other credentials.

Step 5: A temporary registration number & password will be sent on the registered Email ID and Mobile number of the candidate

Step 6: Once the candidate has filled out the application form, now they have to upload their documents.

IBPS PO 2022 Application Fees

Candidates have to pay an application fee, which may vary depending on the category. Payment must be made through a debit card, credit card, or Net banking. Once the payment has been made there is no refund. This is as per the 2021 notification 

  • Fees for candidates in the General/OBC/EWs category will be INR 850 inclusive of taxes.
  • Fees for candidates in SC/ST/PWB category will be INR 175

IBPS PO Selection Process 2022

The candidates will undergo 3 stages of the selection process. The candidates must clear all the IBPS PO Selection Process stages mentioned below to get recruited.

  1. Preliminary Examination: In the online preliminary examination, the IBPS authority selects candidates for the Mains examination. 
  2. Mains Examination: Candidates qualified in this examination will be called for an interview. They must qualify this stage to go to the next stage. 
  3. Interview: The Nodal Bank of the respective State/ UT screens the candidates in the interview round. 
  4. Final Selection: The combined result  of the previous two stages (Mains and Interview) is considered for constructing the final result. 
  5. Provisional Allotment: On the official website, a list of provisional allotments for selected candidates will be released.

IBPS PO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Talking about eligibility criteria for IBPS PO 2022, candidates must know that there are various levels of eligibility criteria and relaxation for the reserved category. Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria to complete the Application form. The eligibility criteria for 2022 recruitment will be released with a detailed notification. However, we are providing you with the expected eligibility criteria as per the 2021 recruitment cycle.


A candidate must be either -

  1. a Citizen of India or
  2. a subject of Nepal or
  3. a subject of Bhutan or
  4. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or 
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,

Note* provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) & (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit and Relaxation (As on 1st August 2022)

The minimum age for a candidate to apply for IBPS PO is 20 years and the maximum is 30 years. The table given below shows the age relaxation of candidates from different categories.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or any graduation degree recognized by the state or central government of India.
  • Candidates awarded CGPA/OGPA are liable to convert their marks into a percentage.
  • The fraction of percentage such as 59.99% is considered less than 60%.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2022

IBPS PO exam has three stages i.e. prelims, mains, and interview that a candidate has to clear to get their name on the merit list.   • Candidates must focus on the grammar section while answering the descriptive questions that consist of a letter and essay writing.

IBPS PO Interview Process

  • Candidates qualifying for the mains examination will be called for a face-to-face interview. The interview has a weightage of 100 marks and candidates must score a minimum of 40% to clear the personal interview round.
  • The time duration of the interview will be 15-20 minutes where candidates will be asked questions based on current affairs, basic economy, banking sector, as well as general knowledge.
  • Merit list will be made based on the marks secured in mains and interviews with a ratio of 80:20. According to the vacancies available the candidates will be chosen for provisional allotment to one of the banks.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2022

The admit card is the mandatory certificate to attend the examination. The board releases the admit card for each stage of the selection process. Below are the steps to download the admit card.

Step 1: Go to the official website of IBPS

Step 3: Enter the login credentials and click on the submit button.
