The registration process for the RRB Junior Engineering post will start from the date as mentioned in the official notification and will end on a specific date as fixed by the RRB exam conducting body. Candidates can check the following registration process to apply once the application process starts:
The candidates will have to register first on the RRB online portal and then proceed towards the application. The steps to Apply Online for RRB JE are as follows.
Step 1: Visit the RRB Official Online Website. Candidates need to register themselves first.
Step 2: Enter all the personal details to complete the registration process.
Step 3: Verify your email ID and phone number through OTP.
Step 4: After successful registration, the candidates can click on "Already Registered" on the home page and begin with the application process.
Step 5: Candidates can log in using the registration number and start filling the educational details.
Step 6: Select post preferences.
Step 7: Pay the RRB JE application fee and enter your bank account details in order to receive the refunds.
Step 8: Upload the required documents according to the prescribed format.
Step 9: Confirm the declaration and make the final submission.
The application fee will be Rs. 500 for the unreserved category. An amount equal to Rs. 400 will be refunded after appearing for the CBT 1. The other categories mentioned below are completely exempted since the fees paid by them will be refunded completely after CBT 1. The payment can be done by both online and offline means of transaction.

The selection for Junior Engineers will be done by the RRB on the basis of three stages. The first stage will be the Computer Based Test 1 and those who will clear this test will appear for Computer Based Test 2. The examination pattern for these tests is expounded further. The candidates clearing both the tests will be called for Document Verification. A test for medical fitness will also be conducted at the same time. Hence the overall stages of the RRB JE selection process as per the previous notice are as follows.
All applicants need to fulfill the RRB JE Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form as their application can be rejected if they fail to satisfy any of the eligibility conditions. Different notified posts demand different educational qualifications. The required qualification will be either one of those given below. The qualification should be from a recognized university or board of education.
The overview of the RRB JE syllabus for both the computer-based tests as curated based on previous year’s RRB JE Recruitment notice will be as follows. Usually, the syllabus remains the same, however, in case of any minute changes, we will update it here.
The questions from the Mathematics section will be framed around concepts like Number systems, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, and HCF, etc. Whereas in the General Intelligence and Reasoning sections topics like Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, etc will be covered. Indian Geography, Economics, History, Polity, etc will form the basis of the General Awareness section. The questions in General Science will be as per the 10th Standard CBSE syllabus.
The syllabus for General Awareness and Physics/Chemistry will be the same per the CBT 1. The maximum questions will be from technical abilities. The questions from the core subjects of graduations will be asked in this section.
The selection process will include two Computer Based Tests. The pattern for each of them is discussed below.
CBT 1 will consist of questions from four topics namely Mathematics, General Awareness, General Science, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. Out of these topics, maximum weightage will be given to Mathematics and General Science. The test will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total duration of the test will be 90 minutes. There will be 100 questions, each carrying one mark. Wrong answers will result in the reduction of 1/3rd marks.

The second CBT will consist of a total of five topics i.e. General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Computer application basics, basics of Environmental & Pollution, and Technical Abilities. But this test will focus mainly on Technical Abilities consisting of 100 questions out of 150. The marking scheme for this test will be the same as that of CBT 1. The duration of this test will be 2 hours.

An e-Call Letter will be released by the RRB on its online portal before the examination. The candidates will receive the update regarding the admit card release on their registered email ID/contact number. The candidates can follow these steps to download their RRB JE Admit Card.
Step 1: Visit the RRB Official website and click on the RRB JE 2022 Admit card download link from the recent notification section on the Homepage.
Step 2: Enter credentials like registration number and password.
Step 3: Download the appeared to admit card.
Step 4: Candidates must take a print of this hall ticket on white paper. For safety, always print multiple copies.
The candidates who have scored marks more than the cut-off marks decided by the RRB are selected to appear for the advanced stages of selection. The cut-off differs slightly every year, but the candidates need to score the minimum qualifying marks first in order to appear on the merit list. The RRB will release an answer key before the result. The students can check the correct options for the questions asked in the Computer Based Test in this answer key or the response key. The candidates can also raise objections by challenging doubtful responses. This process should be done within a given deadline and by paying Rs. 50/- per objection. The instructions for this phase will be out along with the RRB JE Answer key itself.
The final result will appear on the official website of RRB. The result will be in the form of a merit list of the candidates who will be eligible to appear for the next stages or those who have been selected. The following steps can be used to check the RRB JE result.
Step 1: Reach the RRB JE official website online.
Step 2: The login credentials must be entered by the candidate.
Step 3: The list of all registration numbers/roll numbers/names of all the successfully cleared candidates will appear.
Step 4: If the candidate finds his/her name number in it, he/she has qualified.
