SSC CGL Exam 2022 Notification, Exam Dates, Apply Online, Vacancies!

SSC CGL 2022 Notification Out on 17th September 2022! Approximately 20,000+ are going to be released for the SSC CGL Recruitment 2022. However the post-wise and category wise vacancies are not yet disclosed by the authorities. The SSC CGL Recruitment exam is conducted for the post of Non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted positions in different departments/ ministries/ organizations of the Government of India. 

The candidates will be able to apply for SSC CGL Exam 2022 from 17th September 2022 to 8th October 2022. The selection of the candidates will be done in two stages i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2. The candidates must note that the selection process is changed for this year i.e there are only 2 stages, the selection process of 2021 cycle had 4 stages i.e Tier I, II, III and IV.

  • The SSC CGL, also known as Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam, is conducted to appoint candidates as Income Tax Inspectors, Excise & Customs Inspectors, Accountants, Junior Accountants, Compiler in Registrar General of India, Preventive Officers, etc.
  • The Tier I will be conducted for 200 marks and each subject will carry 50 marks. The subjects will be Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English language.
  • The Tier I will be held in the month of December 2022.

  • (A) Assistant Audit Officer/AAO (Assistant Accounts Officer) - Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute.
  • (B) Junior Statistical Officer - Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard. OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

How to Apply for SSC CGL Exam?

You can apply for the SSC CGL Exam Online mode only. Follow SSC CGL Apply Online steps as given below:

Step 1 - Proceed to the SSC official website and Click on "New User? Register Now" option on the right hand side.

Step 2- Fill the application form with required details i.e Personal, Educational, Post Name, etc.

Step 3 - Upload scanned photograph and signature as per requirements mentioned in the official notification.

Step 4 - Preview and verify the information provided by you and Submit the Application.

Step 5 - Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

Note: Use a valid email ID that should be kept active till the declaration of results. You should keep a scanned photograph and signature ready as per the requirements mentioned in the official notification.

By following these above steps, you will be able to submit your SSC CGL Form successfully.

SSC CGL Exam Application Status

Once candidates have applied for the SSC CGL Exam. Candidates must go through the application status .

  • The commission updates the application status on the website for all the eligible candidates. 
  • Once the candidates have applied for the application they can check their SSC CGL application form status from the SSC's website.
  • The information to check the application is released on the website.
  • The board will release the region wise application status ,candidates are advised to check the region wise application status to which they belong. 
  • Candidates are required to enter their SSC CGL Registration Number, Date of Birth or Candidate's Name and Date of birth to check the SSC CGL application form status.

SSC CGL Exam Application Fee

  • The SSC CGL application or registration fees for SSC CGL exam is Rs. 100/- for male candidates belonging to UR and OBC category. 
  • SC/ST, Differently abled, ex-servicemen and female candidates have been exempted from application fee.
  • You have to pay the application fee via Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. You can also pay the application fee via offline mode only through challan of SBI. You have to make the payment at designated branches of SBI within the working hours of the bank up to 27-01-2022 provided the challan has been generated by them before 26-01-2022 (23:30 hours). 

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Selection Process is based on two stages -

  • Tier-I (Computer Based Exam)
  • Tier-II (Computer Based Exam)

Other Allowances and Benefits provided to SSC CGL Employees

House Rent Allowance(HRA)

HRA is provided to the employees to meet their house rent needs. House rent allowance varies according to the city and is classified into 3 categories. HRA shall not be less than Rs. 5400/- pm, Rs. 3600/- pm and Rs.1800/- pm at X, Y & Z class cities respectively.

  • 24% of Basic pay for X category of cities
  • 16% of Basic Pay for Y category of cities
  • 8% of Basic Pay for Z category of cities

HRA shall be revised to 27%, 18% & 9% of Basic Pay in X, Y & Z cities when Dearness Allowance (DA) crosses 25% and further to 30%, 20% and 10% of Basic Pay in X, Y & Z cities when DA crosses 50%

Dearness Allowance (DA)

The Dearness Allowance is a cost of living adjustment allowance and is currently 17% Of basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission. The union cabinet has increased the DA to 17% in October 2019.

Transport Allowance (TA)

The rate of transport allowance per month various according to the place you are living in as mentioned below:

  • Employees posted in the cities: Rs.3600
  • Employees posted at all other places: Rs.1800
