SSC CHSL Admit Card (MPR Region) out on 8th September 2022. This is with reference to the Tier II examination 2021 scheduled on 18th September 2021. Earlier, the commission had announced the tentative vacancies for Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant posts. A total number of 9838 vacancies are to be released for the same posts. The notification for the same will be released on 5th November 2022.

The candidates will have to apply only through the online mode for the SSC CHSL 2022 Recruitment. The applications will be accepted from 1st Feb to 7th March 2022.

Nationality Criteria for SSC CHSL Exam 2022

The SSC CHSL Nationality criteria for the various posts of recruitment are defined in the official notification. Candidates must be a citizen of India. There is further clarification given in the notification regarding sub-categories falling under nationality.

Candidates have to fulfill any one of the Nationality Criteria mentioned below:

  2. A subject of Nepal 
  3. A subject of Bhutan
  4. A Person who is a Tibetan refugee
  5. Migrants from Pakistan, The United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Burma, Sri Lanka, Malawi, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam and Ethiopia to permanently settle in India.

Candidates falling in the above-mentioned categories need to provide a relevant certification for verification purposes. Failure of this will result in a disqualification of candidature.

Age Limit for SSC CHSL Exam 2022

SSC CHSL Recruitment Age Limit For Various Posts - Between 18 years and 27 years (As of 01.01.2022). In other words, candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.01.1995 and later than 01.01.2004. However, there are a few age relaxations for various categories which are given below.

Number of Attempts for SSC CHSL Exam

There is no well-defined number of attempts set by the recruiting body, but the age criteria have been well established by the recruiting board. Therefore, a candidate can only apply for the SSC CHSL Recruitment post within the given age limit. Thus, make sure you are between the age group of 18 to 27 years while applying for this exam.

  • The Tier-I will be an online exam.
  • The total time duration is 60 minutes.
  • Each question will be for 2 marks.
  • For incorrect answers, ½ marks will be deducted.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for Tier II 

  • The Tier II will be a descriptive paper 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour. 
  • This paper will assess your writing skills. 
  • The Exam would consist of an Application Letter writing of approximately 150-200 words and an Essay of 200 -250 words .
  • Candidates will have to score a minimum 33% to get qualified. Candidates should also be aware that Tier-2 Exam will prepare merit in the assessment process.
  • Applicants can choose to write the paper either in English or in Hindi Language. 
  • Candidates cannot mix the languages while writing. If they choose writing in hindi language then complete paper has to be in hindi language only and vice-versa in English. 
  • This exam does not involve negative marking for wrong answers.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for Tier III

The Tier III of SSC CHSL will be a Skill Test/Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined based on the total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

  • It includes a typing test for 15 minutes duration. Candidates have to write 35 words per minute (English) and 30 words per minute(Hindi). 
  • For VH – visually handicapped candidates (40% disabled), will get an additional 30 minutes for this test.
